Te Karoro Karoro

Te Karoro Karoro

What if the stories were heard as loud as the seagulls scream?

For Inquiry our school did a big production called Te Karoro Karoro that most of the children took part in. The show took place in the hall with all of the windows and doors covered, there was a small stage and bright colourful lights. First the water and Tawhirimatea entered the stage. Then me, Tygah-Leah and Delanie came on the stage on the waka as waka warriors and met Eliza as the haka was sung. We walked around the stage looking at the animals and after they went to the front and showed their masks. Then we did a dance and sang Don’t Forget Your Roots in Maori. The other song is I Love Your Ways. I wore a dress. The dress was FREEZING and I was very nervous. The dates were the 27th-28th of September 2022.
